Stabilize Eden-Agro-Ventures Farm, Feed 3,000 Households

Eden-Agro-Ventures Farm in Homa Bay collects 1,300 liters of milk per week and needs a simple cold chain and reliable transport to stop daily losses.

Mission

We support Eden-Agro-Ventures Farm, a community-run dairy pilot led by local operators. The goal is simple. Keep milk cold. Move it on time. Protect farmer income. With targeted funding for transport and stabilization, the pilot will reduce spoilage, build buyer confidence, and serve as a model for other wards to follow.

The problem

Three losses we can fix this year.

  • Tsetse pressure causes 30–40 liters of loss every day. Rapid transport and on-farm cold storage reduce exposure time and secure milk before tsetse-related disruption, lowering daily losses.

  • No reliable transport leads to late deliveries and KES 39,000/month in hire costs.

  • Lack of on-site cold storage causes avoidable spoilage during peak heat.
